What is financial freedom?

What is financial freedom?

I have done some online and off-line research to understand the financial freedom. I want to share it with you all to help and understand financial freedom.

The definition of financial freedom changes with the different stages of our life. Financial freedom is much more than having money. It’s the freedom to be who you really are and do what you really want in life.

It’s a process of growth, improvement and gaining spiritual and emotional strength to become the most powerful, happy, and successful “you” possible. That is the true reward of financial freedom.

Financial freedom means having sufficient money to make decisions and start work on them. It is the type of action that you just think and make it happen. You can just imagine about financial freedom that having your mind and heart free from worry about the what-its of life. “You are never powerful in life until you are powerful over your own money.”

I dreamed about freedom from the stress of trying to make the money outlast the month. It is the freedom to:
  • Pursue strategic opportunities that bring fulfillment.
  • Freedom to help our kids get a head start and give significantly to organizations that help others.
  • Freedom not to exchange time for money
  • It offers anyone to do whatever the person really wants to do in his life.
  • When your passive income is more than your average monthly expenses. You can say you are financially free.
  • Not to worry about paying bills on day to day basis.
  • Not to think of new lenders from whom you want to borrow money.
  • Help people in distress without a second thought. To help poor and the needy without feeling the pinch. To support some good cause and give monetary help without hesitation.
  • Financial freedom is the ability to sustain a desired standard of living without having to work.
  • A state of one’s financials wherein they do not have to rely on a source of income by necessarily working a day job.
  • When inflation is not one of your biggest worries.

This means that you don’t have to have a lot of money to become financially free. The word in bold is “desired”. Aside from earning more and more money, it is also about managing your expectations. If you’re happy living on $50 a day, and have enough savings/passive income to last yourself through, then you’re financially free!

How do I Achieve Financial Freedom?

  • Invest in any asset which can able to generate the income for you so that you no longer have to exchange the time for money which can be called as financial freedom.
  • Obtaining financial freedom means not only having enough money, it is much more as it offers anyone to do whatever the person really wants to do in his life. But to achieve financial freedom one has to have a proper road map.
  • Purchase productive asset which will able to bear the cost of your monthly as well as necessary expenses.
  • If you really want to achieve it, immerse yourself in financial education, shifting your mind and your energy around money.

Are you working in your business to make money and struggling with it? When you create a business that you enjoy, that gives you time and money freedom, you achieve financial freedom. In order to have choices, you need a financial freedom plan.

Some of the Quotes about financial freedom

“Financial independence is the state of having sufficient personal wealth to live, without having to work actively for basic necessities. For financially independent people, their assets generate income and/or cash flow from dipping into the assets that is at least as great as their expenses. Financial freedom is a mental, emotional and educational process”
In short, you have to take the responsibility of your own wealth and well being – nothing outside of you, or no one other than you can build it for yourself.

“If you really want to do something, you will find a way. If you don't, you will find an excuse.”

“Working because you want to, not because you have to is financial freedom.”

“Rich people have big libraries; poor people have big TV's.”
Financial freedom is all about creating the right habits and growing yourself – You are your biggest asset!

“The main reason why so many people struggle financially is simply that they've never been taught the recipes for wealth.”
Wealth building is like learning how to cook. The more you use the recipes, the better you get at it. However, you have to start somewhere and the best place to start is to testing out some basic recipes.
“If you want to be financially free, you need to become a different person than you are today and let go of whatever has held you back in the past.”

“Your income can only grow to the extent that you do.”

“Never depend on a single income. Make an investment to create a second source.”
“The reason I've been able to be so financially successful is my focus has never, ever for one minute been money.”

And this is the biggest secret of all! It is not about the money. It's about the VALUE you create in your life, in the life of those around you and the lives of those you serve, help and grow. Keep your focus there and then plan for your financial success.
There is a conundrum when in comes to financial freedom.
On one hand you want to work (and save) in order to get there. On the other hand you want to enjoy life, right now.
Finding the balance between now and later is one of the most important steps to real financial freedom. Toiling away for decades while saving up is not freedom - you are just a slave to your own goal.
